It was a evenly matched start from the team but Rossendale took an early lead by converting their first try. Rossendale started to put the pressure on. Jonah made an excellent tackle which lead to the ever presentDominic scoring Burys first try, after receiving an excellent pass from Will. The try was then converted by Callum W.

The second half saw Bury become a little disheartened because Rossendale were making it hard for them to break through. Ellis received the ball from Oscar after an excellent kick. Ellis then made a break down the wing but was unfortunately tackled into touch inches from the try line. Dominic (who had a fantastic game)scored Bury’s second try following a good pass from Anna. Unfortunately the conversion was missed resulting in a narrow defeat.

The team played well but the mauls and rucking let them down.

Man of the Match – Jonah – an excellent all round performance for his first ever game.

A really evenly balanced game with both teams playing some good rugby, Rossendale dominating the in the forwards, in open play but Bury responding with some good passing in the backs. We just need to be a bit more determined when trying to win the ball especially when it’s on the floor.
